For Book Psmith et al

Stacy, aka Book Psmith, wrote in an email that she would enjoy seeing a Spring photo of Deacon.  So on this fine morning with camera in hand, we set out for a walk in the park.  The grounds are bright yellow with dandelions and even though R curses them in our own back garden, I think they make the park look quite cheery!

To my friends participating in Persephone Reading Week...hooray!

  1. Oh my goodness, I could just squish him up, he is so cute! I think he looks particularly wise today...something about his eyes...or is that mischief:) I definitely see both sides of the dandelion issue...don't like them in our yard but I love to see them growing like crazy in an open expanse. Thank you, Darlene.

  2. What a great looking dog. Once we get settled in the new house a rescue dog is high on our list of priorities.

  3. Oh Deacon, aren't you lovely?! And you pose so nicely.I wish Briar would do that. She would love to run with you on such lovely grass.

I can see both side of the dandelion question. I tried to make a dandelion chain yesterday in the absence of daisies, but sadly the stems are much too splitty.

  6. What a lovely little guy! He has such a sweet face, and he's very patiently waiting for you to take his photo when he clearly just wants to play.

I'm also looking forward to reading your post(s) during Persephone Reading Week.

  9. verity, My Persephone google alert shows that interest is way up, well done!

Book Psmith, I know the feeling, I squish him up all the time...and you're welcome!

Thomas, I look forward to the day your new companion is introduced! A dog cuts into your reading time but I wouldn't have it any other way.

fleurfisher, You know Jane, he really does pose! When the camera comes out he'll sit until you say it's okay to go and play. He would love Briar...how sweet.

ramblingfancy, To know Deacon is to love him, he's quite the character...and seemingly has a fan base!

Kristina, Oh no! You don't want one of those letters from the allotment supervisors.

makedoandread, He really is a sweet boy but I did have to throw the word 'cheese' around to get his ears to perk up. Such bribery.

JoAnn, You're welcome! He's such a character that a Life with Deacon blog would yield as many stories as Persephone!

skirmishofwit, Welcome to a wonderful group...be warned though, your Persephone wish list will grow.

  11. booksnob, I'll give him a cuddle for you! That adorable face melts my heart every time and is the reason my book gets tossed aside for play.
