Pumpkin Treats

We're getting ready to head out to our friend's house for the pumpkin carving party but I wanted to share my tray of goodies with you.
I'm not sure how the kids will like a pumpkin cupcake as their tastes usually run to all things chocolate. But then again, kids will surprise you. Time I wasn't here...bye!

  3. the pumpkin cakes look delicious. You really know how to celebrate Halloween over there - we are a bit lacklustre with it here, although we make up for it with bonfire night.

  7. Book Psmith, They were a hit...report to follow!

Danielle, Some of my lady friends were eating them BEFORE dinner!

Bloomsbury Bell, Burning the Guy is one of my favourite annual episodes of Coronation Street as it's something we don't have over here.

JoAnn, There were two that were brought back to Mum to deal with, icing and candy pumpkin top missing. Too funny because it was expected.

verity, Yes, you can use tinned pumpkin (not pumpkin filling, there's a difference) or use the pumpkin pie pumpkins and really do the job from scratch. I used the former.

Last week, a customer at the library told me that she will only make pumpkin pies using the pumpkin pie pumpkins as the taste is vastly superior. I'm curious now and would like to give it a try!

  8. Rachel, They were delicious, perfect with a cup of tea. I can send you the recipe if you like, not sure if you have tinned pumpkin available though.
